About me

My name is Elizabeth and I am a native speaker of Portuguese. I've been living in Italy for 10 years and I love travelling, wine and cooking, books and photography.

I have been working in the tourism industry for 6 years and now I decided to dedicate to my passion: translation.

My experience in hotels gave me a great range of vocabulary in this field in many languages, specially in English, Portuguese and Italian , which are my pair languages for translanting.

I started working in 2005 as receptionist and in 2007 I graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures at Università degli Studi di Firenze in Florence, Italy, where I have been living from 2002.

From October 2007 to March 2008, I have lived in London and worked at Le Méridien Piccadilly Hotel as Guest Services Centre Agent.

I am constantly studying translation to get updated and to improve my skills. From October 2008 to February 2009, I attended the on-line course on Translation and Linguistic Information Tecnologies organized by Instituto Camões in Portugal. Recently, on June, I attended to the on-line seminar on Translation in Health and Wellness fields organized by Langue & Parole (www.langueparole.com). Recently, I have attended a seminary on Translating for the Tourism organized by AITI (Italian Association of Translators and Interpreters) and I have started translating websites for the hospitality industry (hotels, B&B, etc.).

Having a valid experience in the Hospitality industry and constant skills improvement, I am able to offer a fair and reliable translation.
